What is the difference between an Entrepreneur & an Employee

posted on September 28th, 2019

I have been an employee for 16 yrs &

an entrepreneur for 4 yrs

Here are 10 differences I found:

1. As an Entrepreneur I kept learning more & evolving faster. What I dreamt of as an employee I was able to make it happen through entrepreneurship

2. As an Entrepreneur I was willing to work for zero salary, I was willing to give before I got. But as an employee I was greedy

3. As an Entrepreneur I was a creator, as an employee I was a consumer

4. As an Entrepreneur I took big risks, as an employee I was scared to take even small risks

5. As an Entrepreneur I took ownership, as an employee I looked at only what I was doing

6. As an Employee I was taking loans for a better life, as an entrepreneur I was content in living a life with what I had

7. As an Entrepreneur I worked 100 hrs/week, as an employee it was 40-60 hrs/week

8. As an employee I always felt entitled, but as an entrepreneur I felt nothing was mine, I had to earn it

9. As an entrepreneur I learnt how to let go & start from zero. As an employee I was not wanting to give up, wanting to start from where I left

10. As an employee I was competing with others, as an entrepreneur I was competing with myself
